Question of the Day:
How are you doing today?  I'm PEACHY!  How are you?

Language Expectations:
Today, make sure that you use complete sentences all day, even when speaking with your friends during casual conversations! 

Engagement Requirements:
Teachers frequently require students to interact during class time so that students can think about and explain what the teacher wants for them to learn.  Make sure that your partner has time to talk and listen too!

Rule Reminders:
Please remember that one of the SUPER 8 Rules is to- "Talk it over....Listen"  Listening is probably the most important part, because we need to understand how other people are feeling and what they are thinking.

Library Time:
When you go to the library this week it is CRITICAL that you check out books in your ZPD AND that you take a quiz for that book.   School-wide we have only passed 5,000 AR quizzes this year which is a HUGE decline from last year.  Every student should have read (and taken quizzes for) about 16 books so far this year.

Upcoming Events:
We are postponing our motivational assemblies that were sceduled for this week.  Teachers will be giving McDonald's Free Ice Cream awards for Reading, Math and Homework!

Construction Update
Did you know that in our apple orchard, there are varieties that have quite a story? Like the Junaluska, the favorite apple of Cherokee Chief Junaluska who is credited with saving Andrew Jackson’s life.

Lunch and Attendance:
For lunch, you have two choices, the Farm Fresh Salad Bar, or the hot lunch.  Today the hot lunch is:

• Chili Dog on a Bun
• Baby Carrots
• Appleberry Juice

If you would like to have a hot lunch, please raise your hand.
